Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwich


Kentucky Hot Brown

8 thick white bread slices
1 c. parmesan cheese
2 large tomatoes sliced and halved
1 lb roasted turkey slices
8 bacon slices, cooked

Trim crust from bread and discard. Place bread on a baking sheet and broil 3 inches from heat, until toasted, turning once.
Arrange 2 slices in each of 4 lightly greased individual baking dishes.
Place turkey on top. Pour Cheese Sauce evenly over turkey and sprinkley with Parmesan Cheese. Broil 6 inches from heat 4 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned. Top with bacon and tomato.
Serve inmediantly

Cheese Sauce

1/2 c. butter or margerine
3 1/2 milk
1/3 tsp. salt
1/3 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. shedredd parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. pepper

Melt butter in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Sitr in flour and gradually add milk. Bring to boil, stirrring constanly, 1 to 2 minutes.  Add  cheese salt and pepper.
