Handmade using an old family recipe dating back to the mid 18th century from The Basilicata, Italy region where our forebears obtained the liquor from autochthonous stock of the region.
It is important to note of  basic production differences between a liquor and a wine liquor . Wine liquors are fortified wines made with wine grape concentred musts and wine alcohol . On the contrary, our liquor is made by macerated fruit in alcohol to prevent fermentation. As such, we are able to preserve the maximum flavor and color of the fruit.

Tasting notes

The liquor is ruby-orange in color, with great brightness and clarity that is seductive when served. It is significant viscosity is due to it's 28% alcohol content that gives way to thicks tears that slowly descend in the glass.
The aromas of well ripened fruit bring about spices that are very present in the liquor. Orange peel, cloves, vanilla, cinnamon and hits of candy toghether make it and ideal beverage to round off a lunch or dinner meal. When served with a bitter chocolate dessert, tiramissu or cheesecake with a raspberry topping, this liquor brings out their flavors. In the mouth, it has good volume, balanced alcohol and a sweet yet not overly sensation reminiscent of spices in the olfactory stage, providing a basis for the long finish that the liquor bestows upon the palate. It is ideal to serve at around 12ºC (54ºF), a temperature that is appropiate for the liquor to fully  express itself.

Combinations Suggestions
Given its fruit tones of red fruits and grapes, its goes well with bitter chocolate to achieve a fine balance of flavor. It also goesvery well with soft cheeses, including brie, caciocavallo, goat cheese and cream cheese, dats and nuts suchs pistachios, cashews and walnuts. We likewise recommend a chocolate semifreddo or a ricotta and chocolate cassata to enjoy with this liquor.
